We Need Your Help- Join the Effort!
Recently, Dr A T Leatherbarrow Primary School learned that it was the recipient of a prestigious National Award through the LET THEM BE KIDS Foundation! This grant assists schools like DATL, to help purchase and install playground equipment while strengthening the community as a whole. Every dollar raised by our community will be matched dollar for dollar by the Let Them Be Kids Foundation meaning every $1 you donate automatically turns into $2 - what an impact! This award also provides a tremendous opportunity for the town of Hampton by helping our children learn a lesson far greater than just getting a new playground.
This project has 3 defined goals to benefit our community;
1. Promote and develop friendships and learning through physical activity for our students and our community
2. Enhance the lives of our children and families within our community and school by providing a safe and stimulating play environment and outdoor area.
3. Rejuvenate the DATL school ground and create a sense of pride and ownership by having the students and community members involved in the planning, financing, and construction of the playground.
This is something you won’t want to miss being a part of! On September 25, 2010, community members, students, parents and teachers will all join together as a team to build this new playground all in ONE DAY!

Donor Recognition Wall- Helping Hands - $50 and up
· All donations of $50 or more will be represented by a feature on our recognition wall art mural to be created in the Kindergarten Wing within the school.
You can even make a donation in someone's honour and we will post it on our website!
